BetaDen, Worcestershire's first technology accelerator, has opened recruitment for its eighth cohort of early-stage technology businesses.
The accelerator, which was named ‘Best in the UK’ by the UK Business Tech awards, is based at Malvern Hills Science Park and offers technology businesses support to develop and commercialise their ideas. This includes access to proof-of-concept grant, marketing funding, specialist commercial mentoring, a dedicated co-working office space, and BetaDen’s extensive technology network, exclusive events and speaking opportunities.
“We’re excited to start 2024 by opening recruitment for our next cohort,” said Donston Powell, Marketing and Communications Manager at BetaDen. “One of BetaDen’s strengths is the diversity of the technologies it supports and that means we see a really wide range of innovations from one cohort to the next.
“From Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and 5G to hazard intelligence, biometrics and cyber security, the diversity of each cohort allows for cross-sector learning and commercial development opportunities that simply aren’t available elsewhere.”
BetaDen has helped a wide range of founders develop game-changing technologies in the county. To date, BetaDen alumni have raised over £7.2 million in investment and funding, supporting over 250 jobs and developing a number of world-first technologies.
To apply for Cohort 8.0, founders developing technology-led businesses should simply complete the application form at https://beta-den.com/apply-now/. Applications close on 1st of March 2024, 8 PM.
BetaDen is supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund - central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda, which will provide £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
