Accelerate Cohort 9.0 alumni have successfully passed the first round of pitches for the Santander X UK Awards 2025.

We have some great news to share from BetaDen Accelerate Cohort 9.0 alumni Garland Surgical, who have advanced through the first round of virtual pitches for the 2025 Santander X UK awards, booking their place among the final 25 UK businesses in contention.

Garland Surgical, who are developing the game-changing MaltaHip - a long lasting hip replacement, suitable for younger patients were originally nominated for the Santander X UK Awards in September and now face the second pitch round this week, seeking a place in the London-based semi-final and subsequently the final in Milton Keynes on 13th November.

A massive congratulations from everyone at BetaDen to Garland on another success in what has been a fantastic year for the med-tech business, we hope to see them continue their charge through the competition.
