uControl is a product of Malvern-based AV company HD Connectivity and is the brainchild of InAvate 40 under 40 tech entrepreneur Chris Pinder. Chris and HD Connectivity have 17 years of experience in providing cables, signal extension and multimedia entertainment systems in the smart home and commercial sector.
Drawing upon their wealth of knowledge in the sector, HD Connectivity has launched uControl – a patented unifying control and automation platform, first envisaged as an app and now comprising a family of physical products. uControl provides the answer to the need for a unifying affordable and uncomplicated universal remote control for smart homes and holds the position of the only British challenger to the extensive universal remote control market.
Utilising the support of BetaDen, HD Connectivity seeks to pivot into a new consumer tech category, fast-track AI integration and drive extensive sales growth through a new tailored marketing strategy with the ultimate goal of mass-producing an affordable remote ready-to-be sold internationally and produced entirely within Malvern.
Chris Pinder said: "The clue really is in the title – we are looking to leverage the full spectrum of experienced and expert advisors at BetaDen to accelerate uControl’s journey to market, whilst avoiding potentially costly missteps."
