We’re thrilled to share that our Cohort 8.0 founder Garland Surgical has been awarded a grant from the West Midlands Health Tech Innovation Accelerator (WMHTIA).

This significant funding represents a major milestone in their journey toward the commercialisation of MaltaHip, the innovative ultra-low wear hip replacement designed specifically for younger, active patients.

With the support of the WMHTIA, which is funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology in partnership with Innovate UK and the West Midlands Combined Authority, Garland will be able to accelerate their product rapidly. This grant will enable them to advance the development of MaltaHip, bringing them closer to offering a one-surgery solution that can improve the quality of life for countless individuals.
