Accelerate Cohort 8.0 alumni & Entrepreneurs in Residence, Garland Surgical have been shortlisted for both the 2025 Santander X UK & BioSeed OBN Awards.

We're incredibly pleased to share that BetaDen Accelerate Cohort 8.0 alumni and current Entrepreneurs in Residence, Garland Surgical have been shortlisted for the Santander X UK Awards 2025 and announced as finalists in two categories at the 2025 BioSeed OBN Awards.

Garland Surgical, who are developing the exciting & innovative Malta Hip, a longer-lasting hip replacement - seeking to make the procedure a once-in-a-lifetime operation, fought off 1,200 applicants to receive their Santander nomination alongside the remarkable achievement of being selected as finalists in both the Best Early Stage Medtech Company Award & The BioSeed One to Watch Award categories at the OBN Awards.

We would like to offer a massive congratulations to Garland on this brilliant recognition of our pioneering work and we wish them the best in both prestigious competitions.
